Curbside & Mailing Services
Curbside: To use curbside service, call 573-769-2830 or email mclcurbsideservice@marionlib1.org to place a hold. You can request specific items, or have library staff pick titles for you.
We are also currently offering curbside printing, copying, and faxing services. You can send files you need printed to mclcurbsideservice@gmail.com. Library staff will perform the service for you, and you can pick it up afterwards. There is a small fee for these services.
Mailing: The Marion County Library is able to mail a limited amount of books to homes of patrons not comfortable venturing out. For more information, please call the library (573-769-2830).
Fines, Fees, & Donations
All late fines and fees are being waived at this time. If you receive a late notice or a fine, please disregard this notice.
The library is currently not accepting donations of any materials.
Safety Procedures
We have several new procedures in place to keep our patrons safe. Our library is open to the public. However, patrons will be asked to use hand sanitizer before browsing and will be asked to use a mask or face covering.
Our public computers are available for use, but use is limited to one hour. Computer areas will be disinfected after each use.
To encourage contactless check out, we have created a “self-checkout” system. Patrons will scan their own books when checking out.
All returned materials MUST be placed in the outside drop box (excepting electronic items such as iPads and Hotspots). Returned materials are quarantined for 72 hours before getting disinfected and re-shelved.
Library staff will wear masks while working, and regularly disinfect the library.
Programming
Currently, all in-person library programs are suspended until further notice. This includes Story Time, Pizza & Pages, and Book Talk. All of these events have substituted with virtual meetings. You can call the library to get more information on these events.
